About the role:

The Banquet Chef de Partie is responsible for leading assigned banquet culinary operations and supporting the preparation, production, and presentation of food for meetings, weddings, social celebrations, and special events. This role coordinates daily mise en place and production while providing guidance to cooks and ensuring all dishes are executed according to established recipes, presentation standards, and event requirements. This position is part of the Culinary team and reports to Culinary Leadership.

What you will do:

• Supervise and support daily culinary production for banquet functions and special events
• Coordinate mise en place, prep lists, production, and station setup based on event requirements
• Prepare and execute menu items according to recipes, production standards, portioning, and presentation specifications
• Ensure food is prepared and delivered according to event timelines while maintaining exceptional quality and consistency
• Lead, guide, and support cooks during preparation and event execution
• Communicate closely with Culinary and Banquet leadership regarding event requirements, menu items, production needs, shortages, and special requests
• Assist with the creation, preparation, and execution of banquet menus and specials
• Maintain strong working knowledge of multiple kitchen stations and provide operational support where needed
• Ensure consistency in recipes, plating, garnishing, and presentation across banquet functions
• Monitor mise en place, pars, storage, and product availability to ensure readiness for upcoming events
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment
• Properly label, store, and rotate food products while following established food safety standards
• Ensure kitchen equipment is operated, maintained, and cleaned properly
• Provide instruction, encouragement, and coaching to culinary team members
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and Four Seasons standards

What you bring:

• High school diploma required; culinary school, apprenticeship, or culinary institute education preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of culinary or related professional kitchen experience
• Previous banquet, catering, hotel, resort, or high-volume culinary experience preferred
• Previous kitchen leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Advanced culinary knowledge and strong understanding of food preparation and presentation
• Experience supporting high-volume production while maintaining quality and consistency
• Strong proficiency in knife skills and culinary techniques
• Ability to work across multiple kitchen stations and adapt to changing event needs
• Ability to operate and maintain commercial kitchen equipment
• Strong organization, communication, and multitasking skills
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
• Ability to obtain required food handling or sanitation certifications
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, event-driven culinary environment

Schedule & Hours:

• Full-time schedule with flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Schedule may vary based on banquet functions, weddings, meetings, and special event business
