Business Development Manager – Industrial & Specialty Gases

Our client is an independently owned industrial gas and dry ice distributor with more than 70 years of established market presence. The company services a broad range of industries throughout the Eastern United States through a growing network of branch locations.

The organization has experienced significant growth within its helium and specialty gas divisions and continues expanding across industrial, pharmaceutical, biotech, party supply, medical, and specialty gas applications.


Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to lead new market growth initiatives, with a strong focus on expanding helium, dry ice, and specialty gas business while supporting broader industrial gas product lines.

This is a true “hunter” sales role suited for someone who thrives on building new relationships, opening new accounts, and driving long-term revenue growth through consultative, solution-based selling.

This individual will play a key role in helping align multiple branch locations to better service customers across the Eastern U.S. while helping modernize the company’s marketing and digital presence.


Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Identify, target, and develop new customer relationships across industrial, beverage, manufacturing, medical, and specialty gas markets
  • Drive growth of helium, specialty gases, and core industrial gas product lines including:
  • Dry Ice
  • Helium
  • Argon, Nitrogen, and specialty blends
  • Execute consultative, solution-based sales strategies
  • Maintain and grow long-term customer partnerships
  • Collaborate with branch teams to ensure high-level service execution across territories


Marketing & Market Expansion

  • Generate and nurture leads through proactive outreach and marketing initiatives
  • Develop and maintain strong LinkedIn and digital presence
  • Assist in development of modern website content and digital marketing strategies
  • Increase brand visibility through trade shows, industry events, and influencer engagement
  • Create and distribute relevant industry content to support brand positioning


Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as a connector between branches to support consistent customer experience
  • Wear multiple hats in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment
  • Provide market feedback to leadership on trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning
