West Coast Trans Alliance, located in Long Beach, CA is in search of a Carrier Procurement Management. In this role you will lead the Carrier Sales team to ensure Company goals are met and ensure proper Carrier vetting. The ideal candidate is a strong leader, working alongside their team.
The schedule for this role is M-F 0730-1630 or until work is complete.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Carrier Compliance:
Create and maintain a strong Carrier Compliance Vetting Policy
Ensure carrier vetting standards are compliant with federal and state regulations
Maintain documentation and data of carrier vetting and any exceptions made
Identity and correct any operational or compliance risks
Conduct audits to ensure proper compliance with policies
Carrier Management
Monitor key KPIs of carriers, ensuring the best carriers are selected
Build and maintain strategic partnerships with carriers
Update carrier agreements as needed in partnership with Finance team
Monitor RMIS database
Carrier Sales
Work across branches to procure third-party carriers
Lead a team of Carrier Sales Representatives to achieve margin goals, maintain capacity levels, and compliance.
Represent Carrier Sales team in department meetings, assisting in strategic planning
Build new relationships with carriers.
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of FMCSA/DOT regulations and requirements
Up to date on industry news and compliance changes
Ability to manage a team both remote and in-person
Excellent communication and organizational skills - ability to represent Company at sales visits and conferences
Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers
Experience working in third party logistics preferred
Ability to travel between branches and key markets as needed
Must be authorized to work in the US
High School Diploma or equivalent
Compensation and Benefits:
$70,304-$80,000 base salary with quarterly bonus structure based on KPI's
