What Youll Bring to the Role:
- Completion of a medical assistant training program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES, or a recognized military medical services training program.
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant from the American Association of Medical Assistants, American Medical Technologists, or equivalent recognized body.
- At least one year of full-time experience as a CMA in outpatient family practice or primary care within the last 3 years.
- Proficiency in taking and recording vital signs, medical histories, and assisting with diagnostic procedures.
- Strong organizational skills to prepare exam rooms, maintain stock levels, and perform routine maintenance.
- Ability to accurately enter and manage patient data electronically.
Additional Skills That Will Make You Stand Out:
- Experience handling lab and x-ray requisitions.
- Excellent communication skills for working with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new procedures and technologies.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program (CAAHEP or ABHES).
- Valid certifications as specified above.
- Relevant experience working in outpatient family or primary care settings.
Other Requirements:
- Must be available to work Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Short-term RTO requests within the first 90 days must be noted upfront.
- Willingness to undergo necessary reimbursements, licensure, certification updates, and other professional development as needed.
- Adherence to all healthcare standards and protocols, including BLS certification.
