Build your future with a hands-on accounting role at a small, growing homebuilder in Tampa, working fully onsite. With approximately $25 million in annual revenue, you’ll help keep job costs, profit, and compliance on track. In this Construction Accounting Manager opportunity, you’ll own day-to-day accounting while partnering closely with the owner.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Construction Accounting Manager position include:
- 3-5 years of accounting experience; construction industry accounting experience required (homebuilding experience preferred).
- Manage day-to-day accounting including profit and cost accounting, with some work-in-progress (WIP) accounting.
- Support cost containment and monitor job costs across homebuilding operations.
- Oversee one direct report and provide support with accounts payable and homebuyer options.
- Maintain insurance and bank compliance documentation.
- Track commissions and bonuses, including related payment deadlines.
- Submit payroll information every other Monday by noon (do not process payroll); coordinate with the outside CPA for tax accounting.
- Use the company’s established Builder 360 accounting system and learn existing processes during the transition.
Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
