Contract Administrator III

Sirius Staffing is hiring a Contract Administrator III for a position in Tampa, FL. You will be responsible for the preparation, negotiation, award, and administration of high-value, complex, and high-risk engineering, construction, and engineered equipment contracts. These contracts support capital and maintenance projects for electric power generation, transmission and distribution systems, and natural gas delivery facilities. This role operates independently, performing all core responsibilities with minimal supervision. Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8-5, 4 days onsite, Friday remote.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead pre-procurement planning to determine optimal contracting strategies that meet project requirements while protecting corporate interests.
  • Support project teams in developing technical specifications and scopes of work through review and advisory input.
  • Advise project management on contractual risk identification and mitigation.
  • Prepare contract pro-formas, including general terms and conditions and commercial terms, for bid solicitations.
  • Maintain awareness of business trends, risk management practices, and applicable regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships, partnering with Supplier Diversity to promote inclusion of minority-owned businesses.
  • Lead the bid evaluation process by coordinating commercial and technical evaluations.
  • Manage contract formation and negotiations in collaboration with business leads, legal, risk, regulatory, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare award recommendations, finalize agreements, and ensure proper contract execution.
  • Provide contract administration during execution, including change order negotiation, claims and dispute resolution, invoice review, lien compliance monitoring, and contract closeout.
  • Serve as liaison with Legal and Risk Management.
  • Conduct due diligence on prospective contractors to verify technical and financial capability.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local procurement laws and regulations.
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional initiatives to improve supply chain processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Provide training and guidance to procurement team members and internal stakeholders on policies and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (required)
  • Minimum six years of relevant experience in construction, project engineering, contract management, project management, or quantity surveying
  • Demonstrated proficiency in contract administration and procurement practices
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong ability to adapt to change and manage multiple priorities

Preferred:

  • Experience with ERP or SAP systems
  • Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management systems, preferably SMART by GEP

Additional Information:

  • Travel may be required to company locations throughout Florida & vendor sites across North America
