In this role, you will work directly alongside our Executive Chef and Sous Chef to deliver world-class, health-conscious cuisine in a 100% gluten-free kitchen. You'll have the opportunity to learn from a classically trained chef with more than 20 years of experience, including leadership in some of Columbus' finest dining establishments and kitchens around the world. We are committed to being a workplace that attracts exceptional people and empowers them to maximize their impact, and our culinary program is a vital part of that mission.This position will report directly to our Executive Chef.What you'll do in the role:* Partner with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to prepare high-quality, health-conscious meals in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen.* Assist in planning and executing a weekly menu that accommodates food allergies and intolerances while maintaining a 100% gluten-free kitchen.* Prepare a broad range of meals from scratch using classic and modern cooking techniques, tools, and equipment.* Support kitchen operations to ensure efficiency, consistency, and readiness as the company continues to grow.* Assist with onsite events hosted at AndHealth, including occasional evening and weekend events.* Prepare leftovers and packaged "grab-and-go" dinners for employees working late.* Monitor food safety standards, including Critical Control Points (CCPs), food temperatures, storage, and refrigeration compliance.* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, prep areas, and all food storage spaces according to established sanitation standards.* Ensure equipment, cookware, dishes, and serving materials are cleaned, sanitized, and ready for service.* Help manage inventory levels for food, beverages, and non-food kitchen supplies across dry, refrigerated, and frozen storage.* Contribute to a positive, high-energy culinary environment with a shared commitment to hospitality and exceptional service.Education & Licensure Requirements:* High School Diploma required* Previous experience in a restaurant, catering, or industrial kitchen setting.* Ability to maintain a current ServSafe Certification (or willingness to obtain one upon hire).* A sincere interest in health, wellness, and the AndHealth mission.Other Skills or Qualifications:* Passion for Quality: You love working with real, local, organic, and artisanal ingredients and take pride in cooking from scratch.* Service Mindset: You lead with a "team-first" attitude and are willing to go above and beyond to delight your coworkers and patients.* Technical Skill: You have experience working in a professional kitchen environment and feel confident using industrial kitchen equipment and tools.* Dietary Awareness: You are eager to learn about (or already have experience in) cooking without common allergens like gluten, dairy, and inflammatory oils.* Growth-Oriented: You are excited by the opportunity to be mentored by an accomplished chef and are looking to sharpen your culinary skills in a fast-paced startup environment.* Reliable & Respectful: You excel at building respectful relationships with teammates and value being an integral part of a collaborative culture.Here's what we'd like to offer you:* Equal investment and support for our people and patients.* A fun and ambitious growing environment with a culture that takes on important things, takes risks, and learns quickly.* The ability to demonstrate creativity, innovation, and conscientiousness, and find joy in working together.* A team of highly skilled, incredibly kind, and welcoming employees, every one of whom has something unique to offer.* We know that the overall success of our business is a collaborative effort, and we strive to provide ongoing opportunities for our employees to learn and grow, both personally and professionally.* Full-time employees are eligible to participate in our benefits package which includes Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance, Paid time off, Short- and Long-Term Disability, 401k match and more.Work Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those encountered while performing the essential function of this job.
