Description
Duties specific to the Cook include:
a.) Prepare and serve meals according to the set menu.
b.) Maintain the kitchen area in a sanitary and safe condition while on duty.
c.) Will follow food preparation lists as given by the Food Service Coordinator.
d.) Will supervise residents assigned to kitchen detail.
e.) Perform other duties as needed to assist in the operations of the food service area as assigned by the Food Service Coordinator/Facility Director.

Requirements
Education and/or Experience
ServeSafe certified preferred, or willing to achieve.
Two years of experience in the preparation of food for large groups of individuals. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
Technical Skills
To perform this job successfully, the employee should be able to successfully operate a variety of applicable hand-held tools and equipment. Must have the ability to learn proper use of other tools and equipment as required by assigned tasks.
Physical Demands
To perform this job successfully, the employee is frequently required to travel to various Firetree properties to perform maintenance work. Daily movements include sitting; standing; reaching and grasping; operating handheld tools and other machinery; moving about the properties; and attending onsite meetings and offsite meetings. The employee must be able to exchange information in person, in writing, and via telephone. The employee must occasionally transport up to 50 pounds.
