Job Description

We are looking for a guidance counselor to support re-engaged students and staff. Our program provides comprehensive support including:

  • Life skills and career exploration

Duties:

  • Work directly with the Re-Engagement Specialist with EPS to create a database of students who are eligible for Day 6.
  • Create needs assessments and graduation audits. Identify paths for students to graduate with a post secondary plan or workforce plan.
  • Coordinate tutors and their roles in the Day 6 program.
  • Build partnerships with outside organizations to support students who transition in and out of the program.
  • Develop success plans for each student.
  • Work with the Guidance Department Chair and Re-engagement Specialist to ensure that the scope of the program is aligned with district policies and mission.
  • Facilitate student outreach.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in school administration or school counseling
