Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Development Operations Coordinator for a mission-driven nonprofit organization. This is a fully remote, part-time temporary opportunity open to candidates located anywhere within the United States.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Development Operations Coordinator will provide critical support to a nonprofit development team by managing donor database operations, gift processing, acknowledgments, reporting, and fundraising administration during a temporary coverage period. This role requires recent, hands-on experience with Tessitura and a strong understanding of development operations and donor stewardship. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives working independently in a remote environment while collaborating closely with Development and Finance teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process gifts, pledges, pledge payments, donor acknowledgments, and donor records within Tessitura while maintaining exceptional data accuracy.
  • Manage donor database updates, list extractions, data imports, reporting, and reconciliation activities to support fundraising operations.
  • Assist with campaign reporting, recognition lists, membership renewals, and donor stewardship initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Development, Finance, and external partners to ensure timely and accurate gift processing and financial reporting.
  • Maintain confidentiality and data integrity while supporting day-to-day fundraising operations.
  • Provide ongoing operational support to help ensure uninterrupted development services throughout the temporary assignment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Recent hands-on experience using Tessitura CRM for gift processing, donor database management, acknowledgments, reporting, and data imports.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of fundraising operations, including donor stewardship, moves management, gift processing, pledges, and campaign reporting.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while effectively managing multiple priorities.
  • Experience with Tessitura Analytics, Tessitura Plans, QuickBooks, DonorSearch, Microsoft Excel, and Google Workspace is a plus.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This temporary, part-time opportunity offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $30-$35 per hour, working approximately 20 hours per week. The assignment is expected to begin immediately after July 20, 2026, and continue through at least September 30, 2026, with the potential for an extension based on organizational needs.
