Director of Sales

San Francisco, CA (Hybrid – In-Office 2x/Week) | Industry: Beauty / Cosmetics

About the Role

Haleys Beauty is seeking a dynamic and data-driven Director of Sales to lead and scale our wholesale and retail partnerships. Reporting directly to the Founder & CEO, you’ll be responsible for the full sell-in strategy across national and international accounts. From managing current retail relationships (Costco, Macy’s.com, Faire) to unlocking new doors (Target, Ulta, Mecca, etc.), this is a high-impact role that requires hustle, strategy, and a deep love for beauty.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and grow relationships with key retail buyers and distribution partners (Costco In-Store & Online, international retailers, boutiques)
  • Manage broker networks, trade spend, and purchase orders
  • Lead demand planning and inventory forecasting in collaboration with Ops, Finance, Product, and Marketing
  • Develop the wholesale go-to-market playbook: pitch decks, sell sheets, and sell-through strategies
  • Drive international expansion plans and open new accounts
  • Mentor and support a Sales & Marketing Intern (Sales Manager currently on parental leave)
  • Use data to guide planning, forecasting, and account strategy

What You Bring

  • 5–8+ years of beauty sales experience (makeup or skincare strongly preferred)
  • Proven track record managing and growing major retail accounts (Costco, Target, Ulta, Sephora, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and forecasting skills with a track record of hitting revenue targets
  • Self-starter who thrives in a lean, high-growth startup environment
  • Existing relationships in the category with buyers, brokers, and distributors
  • SF Bay Area-based and available to be in our Financial District office 2x per week
