Responsibilities:

As an RF Engineering Analyst supporting a critical national security space warfighting mission, you will play a key role in protecting mission success through advanced orbital data validation, flight safety analysis, and directed energy (RF) deconfliction. You will assess and mitigate terrestrial and space-based RF threats to ensure the protection of high-value assets and uninterrupted mission execution.

As a member of the Flight Safety Engineering Team, you will provide operators, planners, and decision-makers with timely warning of potential radio frequency interference (RFI) and other mission-impacting hazards. You will develop and maintain operational deconfliction products, enhance analytical processes, and create procedures and checklists that improve operational efficiency while integrating emerging capabilities and technologies.

The ideal candidate is a technically skilled problem solver who can develop innovative solutions, support training and exercises, collaborate across organizations, and effectively communicate complex technical information to leadership and mission partners.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and ad hoc Conjunction Assessment (CA) and Directed Energy (DE) deconfliction analyses to identify and mitigate mission risks.
  • Develop, update, and maintain procedures, checklists, and analytical products supporting spectrum protection, risk mitigation, and deconfliction operations.
  • Support the integration of new data sources and capabilities into legacy and next-generation mission systems.
  • Refine and enhance tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) supporting flight safety and mission assurance operations; recommend updates to training materials as required.
  • Maintain proficiency with flight safety systems and awareness of current and emerging space domain threats.
  • Analyze pre- and post-launch TLEs, state vectors, trajectories, and on-orbit maneuver ephemerides against the latest Resident Space Object (RSO) catalog to identify and mitigate collision risks.
  • Expertly operate orbit propagation and flight safety software tools, interpret analytical outputs, and deliver actionable products to mission stakeholders.
  • Participate in flight safety working groups, mission planning activities, training events, and operational exercises.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external mission partners to ensure mission readiness and operational effectiveness.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Minimum of 12 years w/o a degree or 10 years with AS/AA or 8 years with BS/BA or 6 years with MS/MA
  • 4+ years of relevant experience supporting flight safety, conjunction assessment, RF deconfliction, space operations, systems engineering, or software engineering for related mission systems. Relevant experience may be substituted for education requirements.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience using flight safety and astrodynamics tools such as Astrodynamics Support Workstation (ASW), SuperCombo, or Systems Tool Kit (STK). STK Level II Certification may be substituted for equivalent experience.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with adjudicated Polygraph.
  • Experience conducting technical analysis in support of mission-critical operational environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to brief technical findings to diverse audiences.

Preferred

  • 4+ years of experience supporting conjunction assessment, RF deconfliction, flight safety operations, or related space mission functions.
  • Advanced knowledge of orbital mechanics, spaceflight safety principles, and mission assurance processes.
  • Understanding of foreign and domestic space and ground-based threat capabilities.
  • Prior experience supporting the Intelligence Community (IC).
  • Experience collaborating with military and civilian leaders across multiple organizations and levels of responsibility.
