Description

PhotoMules is seeking a driven, hands-on Event Sales Manager to lead weekend youth sports photography events throughout Texas and surrounding states.

This is a field-based leadership role responsible for team management, event execution, and driving on-site sales performance. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy leading from the front, this role offers strong ownership and growth opportunity.

Professionals with backgrounds in education, coaching, retail management, hospitality, food service leadership, customer service management, youth programs, and event operations are encouraged to apply.

Location: Based in Austin, TX (regional travel required)

Travel: Weekend regional travel in Texas and surrounding areas required Friday-Sunday (travel expenses covered)

What You’ll Own

You are the on-site leader. When you're at an event, you’re responsible for both operations and revenue performance.

Key responsibilities include:

· Traveling to events in and around Texas

· Lead and supervise a team of 2–6 event staff

· Manage full event setup and breakdown (tent, booth, equipment)

· Oversee photography flow, printing, and order fulfillment

· Drive sales results and coach team members in real time

· Engage customers and close sales directly

· Handle customer concerns and operational issues on-site

· Make fast decisions in high-volume environments

· Complete 1–5 hours of weekly prep work (staff confirmations, scheduling, equipment readiness)

· Mentor, motivate, and develop team members to deliver strong customer experiences

· Create a positive, organized environment for staff, athletes, coaches, and families

What We’re Looking For

· Previous leadership experience (team lead, supervisor, assistant manager, event manager, department lead, program coordinator, instructional leader, etc.)

· Strong sales background, commission or performance-based experience preferred

· Confident managing people in outdoor, high-energy environments

· Excellent communicator and problem-solver

· Comfortable standing and working on feet for extended periods

· Organized and able to prepare for events independently

· Experience coaching, training, mentoring, teaching, or developing team members is a plus

Backgrounds that transition well:

· Retail management

· Trade show or kiosk sales

· High-volume food & beverage leadership

· Event-based operations

· Education, teaching, coaching, or school administration

· Youth sports, recreation, or after-school program leadership

Travel Expectations
