FACILITIES MANAGER

The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing facility infrastructure, building systems, utilities, equipment support, contractors, and facility-related maintenance activities across CMI locations. This position ensures that facilities are safe, functional, properly maintained, and capable of supporting manufacturing operations in a regulated environment. The Facilities Manager is expected to understand and support applicable requirements of CMI’s Quality Management System, including ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and applicable FDA/QSR expectations where facility conditions, equipment, utilities, maintenance, contractor activities, documentation, or work-environment controls may affect product quality, employee safety, production continuity, or audit readiness. This role works cross-functionally with Maintenance, Production, Quality, Engineering, EHS, and Operations to ensure facility-related activities are planned, documented, controlled, and completed in a manner that supports safety, compliance, traceability, and operational effectiveness.
Additional Essential Job Functions: - Maintain facility infrastructure, utilities, equipment support systems, and building conditions to support safe, compliant, and uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
- Maintain preventive maintenance records, repair records, service documentation, contractor records, inspection records, and facility work-order documentation in accordance with company procedures.
- Support ISO 13485, ISO 9001, FDA/QSR, customer, and internal audit activities by providing facility-related records and participating in audit discussions as needed.
- Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Production, Maintenance, and EHS before facility changes, equipment moves, utility modifications, or building changes that may affect production, product quality, validated or qualified equipment/processes, controlled areas, or employee safety.
- Follow applicable change control, nonconformance, CAPA, risk-assessment, and documentation processes when facility-related issues may impact safety, production, quality, or compliance.
- Ensure contractors and service providers comply with applicable safety, security, quality, documentation, and site access requirements.
- Support cleanliness, housekeeping, pest control, waste handling, facility access, environmental controls, and work-condition requirements applicable to manufacturing operations.
- Escalate facility conditions that may affect product quality, process control, regulatory compliance, employee safety, or production continuity.
Required Qualifications: - Proven experience in facilities management, maintenance management, or a related role in a manufacturing or regulated manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of ISO 13485, ISO 9001, OSHA, and regulated manufacturing documentation expectations.
- Experience maintaining preventive maintenance records, inspection records, service records, contractor documentation, and facility-related compliance records.
- Ability to follow controlled procedures, work instructions, change-control requirements, and documentation practices.
- Strong understanding of building systems, utilities, equipment support, facility safety, space planning, and maintenance best practices.
- Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
