Looking to build your financial analysis skills and take the next step in your career? Prairie Capital Advisors is seeking a motivated Financial Analyst to join our Columbus team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career finance or accounting professional to gain hands-on experience in financial modeling, business valuation, and client advisory work while learning from experienced industry professionals.

 

As an employee-owned advisory firm, Prairie Capital Advisors helps middle-market businesses navigate valuations, investment banking, and ownership transitions. You'll work on projects across a variety of industries, contribute to meaningful client engagements, and develop skills that can support long-term career growth.

What You'll Do

• Build financial models and perform valuation analyses using discounted cash flow and comparable company methods.

• Prepare client reports, financial analyses, and presentations.

• Work with senior advisors, business owners, and CFOs throughout client engagements.

• Support valuations related to financial reporting, ESOPs, and corporate transactions.

• Manage project deadlines while collaborating with a knowledgeable, supportive team.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.

• One to two years of accounting or corporate finance experience preferred.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.

• Interest in pursuing the CFA or ASA designation.

• Willingness to travel approximately 10% as needed.

• U.S. citizenship or green card authorization without current or future visa sponsorship requirements.

Compensation & Benefits

Total compensation of $72,800–$83,200, plus a benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, disability and life insurance, generous sick and vacation time, and paid parental leave.
