We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Freight Operations Coordinator to join our team. This pivotal role ensures the seamless coordination of freight and logistical activities, supporting efficient supply chain operations and delivering excellent service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and oversee incoming freight orders, coordinating with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Review and validate shipment data, resolving discrepancies and ensuring all documentation is complete and precise.
- Collaborate with production and logistics teams to schedule and monitor freight movements, ensuring adherence to delivery timelines.
- Track shipment statuses and provide customers and internal stakeholders with timely updates regarding freight and delivery information.
- Resolve freight-related issues including delays, damages, or documentation errors, implementing solutions to minimize disruptions.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, communications, and related transactions for audit and reporting purposes.
- Monitor inventory and freight projections, proactively addressing potential delays or shortages.
- Foster strong relationships with carriers and freight partners to optimize transportation efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and compliance standards related to freight and logistics operations.
Qualifications:- Proven experience in freight, logistics, or supply chain coordination.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency with data entry and logistics management systems.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and formulas.
- Availability for in-person work Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime and participation in coverage on every other weekend and alternate holidays.
