Health & Attendance Office Assistant

Part Time 29 hours per week

Position Summary

We are seeking a Health & Attendance Office Assistant to provide critical administrative and day-to-day operational support to our District Nurse and School Administration. In this role, you will anchor our front office operations, managing a diverse range of administrative, attendance, and health-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the District Nurse with daily clinic operations, including administering basic first aid and caring for ill or injured students.

  • Maintain accurate, confidential student health records and documentation in compliance with privacy laws.

  • Serve as a reassuring, calm presence for students visiting the health office.

  • Monitor, record, and verify daily student attendance, following up on unexplained absences with parents and guardians.

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the School Administration (e.g., answering phones, managing correspondence, and maintaining files).

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for families, staff, and visitors, representing the school with exceptional customer service.

  • Communicate sensitive information (such as attendance concerns or health updates) to families with utmost tact, diplomacy, and judgment.
