    Description

As part of Risk Management and Compliance, you are at the center of keeping JPMorgan Chase strong and resilient. You help the firm grow its business in a responsible way by anticipating new and emerging risks, and using your expert judgement to solve real-world challenges that impact our company, customers and communities. Our culture in Risk Management and Compliance is all about thinking outside the box, challenging the status quo and striving to be best-in-class.

As an Executive Director in Home Lending Risk, you will lead strategic initiatives and administrative management for the Home Lending Risk organization, helping shape and execute priorities that strengthen risk governance, business discipline, and senior management decision-making. You will partner closely with Home Lending Risk leadership, Firmwide mortgage and market risk functions, and key business/control partners to drive cross-functional initiatives, coordinating mortgage/real-estate risk governance routines, and ensuring disciplined execution of the organization's strategic agenda. This is a great opportunity to use your strategy and business knowledge, exceptional organization communication skills as well as people leadership skills.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Lead Home Lending Risk strategic initiatives by translating senior leadership priorities, emerging risks, and business needs into actionable strategies, execution plans, milestones, owners, and success measures; drive cross-functional delivery through structured governance and stakeholder alignment.
    • Advance mortgage and real-estate risk governance by partnering with Firmwide mortgage, market risk, and Home Lending stakeholders to coordinate critical risk forums, support real estate scenario planning, facilitate risk identification, and prepare periodic senior management updates.
    • Drive strategic planning and performance management by owning planning cycles, tracking progress against strategic priorities, identifying execution risks or resource constraints, and ensuring leadership has clear visibility into priorities, trade-offs, and decision points.
    • Shape executive-level messaging and decision forums by developing concise, decision-oriented materials for senior leadership routines, business reviews, and governance forums; ensure agendas, materials, decisions, and follow-ups are tied directly to strategic priorities and measurable outcomes.
    • Facilitate core business management disciplines by managing headcount, expense/budget processes, and performance versus plan; coordinate required deliverables with Finance, HR, Legal, Compliance, and other support partners to ensure timely execution and escalation where needed.
    • Lead and develop a high-performing team by setting clear priorities, coaching Vice Presidents and Associates, delegating effectively, and maintaining strong quality control across deliverables, stakeholder engagement, and execution outcomes.

    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex ideas into executive-ready narratives and presentations
    • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguity, manage conflict, and drive alignment across multiple functions and senior stakeholders
    • Strong operational management capabilities, including turning findings into executable plans/roadmaps and driving delivery against tight deadlines
