We are seeking an HR Administrative Generalist to be the first point of contact for employees, applicants, and visitors at our Atlanta, GA Securitas office. This role is highly front-facing and fast-paced, involving constant phone calls, walk-ins, and frequent interruptions. The HR Administrative Generalist provides exceptional customer service, supports day-to-day HR and office operations, and assists the HR Manager with new hire processing and general administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate is dynamic, people-oriented, and team-focused. They stay on task in a busy environment, are able to de-escalate situations when needed, and consistently deliver a helpful, professional experience to everyone who walks through our doors or contacts our office.

Compensation & Benefits

Depending on experience, Securitas will offer an hourly rate of 18.00-20.00 per hour. You'll also receive a great benefit package that includes:

Key Responsibilities

  • Front Desk & Customer Service
  • Serve as the first point of contact for all office visitors, applicants, and employees; greet and direct them in a professional, friendly manner.
  • Answer and route high-volume phone calls and respond to email inquiries, providing timely, accurate information and support.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by actively listening, problem-solving, and maintaining a calm, professional demeanor, including de-escalating situations when needed.
  • Support a welcoming, inclusive environment where employees and visitors feel respected and heard.

HR & New Hire Support

  • Assist the HR Manager with new hire processing, including scheduling orientations, collecting documentation, and preparing onboarding materials.
  • Help coordinate new hire orientations by organizing sign-in sheets, packets, and room setup, and ensuring all required forms are completed.
  • Support the completion and tracking of pre-employment requirements (for example, background screenings, documentation, licensing) under the guidance of the HR Manager.
  • Assist with uniform distribution, tracking, and basic inventory updates to support workforce readiness.

Administrative & Office Duties

  • Maintain and update employee files and HR records with a strong focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and organization.
  • Perform general office duties such as copying, scanning, filing, data entry, and mail distribution.
  • Help manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings for HR and office leadership as needed.
  • Support HR communications by posting notices, sending reminders, and following up with employees on missing or incomplete documentation.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and interruptions while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.

Compliance & Confidentiality

  • Handle sensitive employee information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality in line with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Follow established HR and office procedures and escalate issues to the HR Manager when appropriate.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of strong customer service experience in a fast-paced, front-facing environment (for example, reception, office administration, retail, hospitality, call center, or similar).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage constant interruptions, high call volume, and walk-in traffic while staying organized and on task.
  • People-oriented, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport, remain calm under pressure, and de-escalate challenging situations.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support colleagues and step in where needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and approachable style.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Proven reliability and punctuality.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint); experience with HR systems or databases is a plus.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and respect.
