Applications cannot be updated after submission.THE HIRING DEPARTMENT WILL VERIFY EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCEESSENTIAL DUTIESDevelop and implement plans and strategies for recruiting and retaining better qualified and more diverse applicants.Participate in discussions related to the organization of new units and the reorganization of existing units.Discuss staffing needs with management/supervision and recommend solutions to best fit these needs.Counsel and advise management/supervision on district policies, rules, and procedures pertaining to recruitment and selection processes.Identify any pre-employment issues and make recommendations as to whether or not to proceed with hiring decisions.Review proposed policies to assess impact on human resources programs or functions.Analyze existing organizational and human resources issues; recommend alternative approaches and solutions for existing problems.Develop, conduct, and/or coordinate training for employees; consult with administrators, managers, supervisors, and employees on training issues and needs.Implement and monitor evaluation and appraisal methods to ensure timeliness and consistency; assist with development of performance standards.Monitor personnel functions as assigned to ensure proper implementation and compliance.Review and assist with the modification of job classification specifications as needed; maintain authorized strength position control; write and/or assist line personnel in writing position descriptions.Write and/or prepare technical standards, manuals, policies, procedures, and guidelines.Write reports and draft correspondence.Interpret, apply, and respond to questions regarding human resources law, work rules, and labor contracts.Review contract language to ensure the goals of all parties are accomplished.May supervise assigned staff to include conducting performance appraisals, approving/disapproving leave requests, and/or initiating disciplinary action.Team Specific DutiesTalent AcquisitionIn addition to the duties stated above, perform all duties relevant to the recruitment of district personnel, including administrators, teachers, and support staff.Strategic StaffingIn addition to the duties stated above, perform all duties relevant to the onboarding and offboarding processes for all district personnel.Minimum QualificationsPossession of a bachelor's degree and two (2) years of professional human resources experience in a human resources office, department, or company.
