Job Description

The Human Resources (HR) Manager serves as the sole HR leader for Safran Ventilation Systems USA, supporting a site of approximately 50 employees across manufacturing, engineering, professional, and leadership functions.

This position combines strategic HR business partnership with hands-on execution across all aspects of the employee lifecycle. The HR Manager partners with site leadership and Division HR leadership to develop and implement people strategies that enable business performance while ensuring compliance with applicable employment laws and Company policies.

The role serves as a trusted advisor to leaders, an advocate for employees, and the primary HR resource for the site.

Strategic HR Partnership

  • Serve as the primary HR Business Partner to site leadership.
  • Advise leaders on workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, talent development, succession planning, employee engagement, and retention.
  • Support organizational change initiatives and business growth objectives.
  • Promote Safrans values, culture, leadership principles, and Code of Ethics.

Talent Management & Employee Relations

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and employee integration.
  • Partner with leaders on performance management, employee development, and talent reviews.
  • Lead employee relations activities, including investigations, conflict resolution, performance concerns, disciplinary actions, and separations.
  • Support employee engagement, recognition, and culture-building initiatives.

Compensation, Payroll & HR Operations

  • Coordinate and oversee payroll processing activities, including timecard approvals, payroll review, and reconciliation.
  • Administer compensation programs and conduct promotion, retention, internal equity, and market pay analyses.
  • Maintain job descriptions, position classifications, and organizational data.
  • Ensure HR records, HRIS data, and reporting are accurate and compliant.
  • Prepare HR metrics, workforce reports, and management presentations.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and Company policies.
  • Manage leaves of absence, workers compensation, unemployment claims, and employment-related compliance activities.
  • Coordinate annual Affirmative Action Plan audits and related reporting requirements.
  • Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits as required.

Immigration & Global Mobility

  • Coordinate immigration and work authorization activities in partnership with external counsel and corporate stakeholders.
  • Support visa sponsorships, permanent residency processes, global transfers, and immigration compliance requirements.

Learning, Communication & Special Projects

  • Coordinate employee training and development activities, including learning management system administration.
  • Serve as the site liaison for Division and Group communications.

Job Requirements

Education :

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.

Experience :

  • Minimum 7 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Experience operating as an HR Manager, HR Business Partner, or Senior HR Generalist with responsibility across multiple HR disciplines.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, or other technical environments preferred.
  • Experience working independently as the primary HR resource for a site or business unit preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies :

  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, coach, and advise leaders at all organizational levels.
  • Strong employee relations, talent acquisition, compensation, and organizational development capabilities.
  • Experience with payroll administration, HRIS systems, and HR analytics.
  • Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to balance strategic priorities with day-to-day operational responsibilities.
  • High level of professionalism, judgment, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred.
