Inpatient Pharmacy Manager

Location: Charleston, South Carolina (Onsite)

Role Overview

We are seeking an Inpatient Pharmacy Manager to provide direct oversight, planning, and coordination for inpatient pharmacy services. This role involves managing a team of pharmacists, focusing on operational and human resources duties such as scheduling, time reporting, and issue resolution, while also contributing to pharmacist shifts. The manager will lead all inpatient pharmacy activities within a multi-hospital division, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide operational oversight of the Inpatient Pharmacy areas.
• Manage, select, and develop pharmacy staff to meet objectives.
• Oversee departmental budget and identify opportunities for financial improvement.
• Handle HR-specific duties including scheduling, time reporting, and resolving staff issues.
• Ensure the highest level of quality, safety, and regulatory requirements are met.
• Optimize operations and ensure standardization across the division.
• Collaborate with other leaders to enhance workflows and improve quality outcomes.
• Mentor and support the professional growth of team members.

Required Qualifications

Education: Doctor of Pharmacy degree.

Experience: A minimum of two years of leadership experience (HR or Operations) in a hospital pharmacy environment is required. The client job description specifies four years of pharmacy leadership experience in academic and inpatient settings with direct supervision of other pharmacy leaders.

Licensure: Must be a licensed Pharmacist in South Carolina or eligible for licensure within six months.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in pediatrics.
• Completion of a pharmacy residency program.
• Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter.
