Description
We are seeking an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Specialist to join our team. As an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Specialist, you will provide outfitting and configuration management expertise that directly affects fleet availability, lifecycle cost, and operational effectiveness. This is an on-site position located in Mobile, AL.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Outfitting and Configuration Management Support: Prepare charts, briefs, reports, and other materials to support outfitting status and configuration management activities.
Onboard Outfitting Participation: Assist with outfitting activities aboard the cutter and support associated inspections and reviews.
Physical Configuration Audit (PCA) Support: Participate in PCAs and provide documentation, updates, and status reporting.
Reporting and Presentation Development: Produce ad hoc reports and prepare presentations on communication outfitting and PCA progress.
Meeting and Collaboration Support: Attend required meetings and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely status updates for outfitting and PCA activities.
Required Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in a business field or related technical/business discipline (e.g., Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business). In lieu of a degree, a minimum of four (4) additional years of relevant experience.
A minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting logistics or configuration and shipbuilding processes.
Comprehensive knowledge of Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) processes.
Comprehensive knowledge of ship outfitting/loadout and configuration management, including PCAs.
Strong analytical and evaluative skills for logistics and configuration data.
Proven ability to develop reports, briefs, and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access).
Preferred Qualifications:
A master’s degree in Logistics, Engineering, Business, or related field.
Professional certifications in logistics or configuration management (e.g., CPL, DAWIA Life Cycle Logistics, CM certifications).
Experience with Coast Guard or DoD/DHS major system acquisition programs and Coast Guard logistics/configuration policies (e.g., COMDTINST 4130.6A, CG HALT, MSAM).
Clearance Requirements:
Must be a U.S. citizen
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
