    Role will adeptly execute Information Technology contract processing and administration functions with precision, adhering rigorously to the department''s standard operating procedures. They will demonstrate a commitment to excellence to meet or exceed established key performance indicators. The role ensures seamless alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory standards. They will navigate complex contractual landscapes, primarily related to technology contracts, such as software license agreements, hardware purchases and services agreements. The successful candidate will be expected to identify and address contractual, financial and operational nuances to optimize efficiency and mitigate risk. By leveraging their comprehensive understanding of contractual principles and industry best practices, they will play a pivotal role in driving organizational success and fostering a culture of excellence within the IT contract operations domain.

    The intent of this job description is to provide a summary of the major duties and responsibilities of this position and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be inherent in the position.

    JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Evaluates contract requests, promptly identifying missing information and providing insightful counsel to internal stakeholders for resolution as needed. Demonstrates prowess in negotiation, drafting, and processing of contracts, amendments, and terminations, ensuring adherence to departmental protocols and regulatory standards.

    • Conducts comprehensive due diligence, liaising with Legal, Compliance, and Business sectors to ensure alignment with legal, financial and regulatory frameworks and St. Luke's policies. Maintains an unparalleled command of the contract management database or another tool used for facilitating contract tracking, streamlined workflow, and reporting.

    • Exhibits exceptional analytical acumen, negotiation prowess, and contract drafting skills, generating meticulously crafted contractual instruments. Analyses proposed contracts, amendments and termination requests and offers strategic guidance to internal stakeholders.

    • Ensures meticulous entry and maintenance of contract documents in organizational databases, in strict accordance with relevant policies and procedures. Offers guidance and training to new team members as necessary.

    • Strategically executes negotiation tactics to mitigate potential losses and optimize St. Luke's financial performance. Proactively engages internal departments to ensure legal, regulatory, and financial compliance during negotiations.

    • Maintains vigilance over contract performance metrics and deadlines, fostering ongoing communication with vendors and internal stakeholders. Creates and maintains comprehensive reports on various contracting matters, providing regular status updates to management and stakeholders.

    • Assumes responsibility for all facets of contract administration throughout the contract lifecycle, including monitoring expiration dates, termination requirements, and proactively addressing action items.

    • Facilitates resolution of pricing and terms disputes related to contracts, leveraging contract analysis skills and domain expertise.

    • Coordinates with stakeholders, Accounts Payable and IT Logistics to on-board new vendors and obtain Tax Exempt Certificates.

    • Maintains understanding of healthcare and contracting laws, regulations, and organizational policies, ensuring the delivery of high-quality work products compliant with all applicable standards.

    • Conducts audits of contract portfolio to facilitate organizational success in internal and external audits, contributing to ongoing quality review initiatives and promptly addressing deficiencies.

    • Maintains a collaborative relationship with all levels of staff to promote an open line of communication for problem resolution and compliant performance.

    • Demonstrates exemplary listening skills and a clear, succinct and effective communication and problem resolution style.

    • Ensures effective dissemination of information across all staff levels, facilitating training sessions for new stakeholders as required.

    • Maintains confidentiality of all materials handled within the Network/ Entity as well as the proper release of information.

    • Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding issues of employee, patient and environmental safety and follows appropriate reporting requirements.

    • Demonstrates/models the Network's PCRAFT values during interactions with all customers.

    • Demonstrates Performance Improvement in the following areas as appropriate: Clinical Care/Outcomes, Customer/Service Improvement, Operational System/Process, and Safety.

    • Demonstrates financial responsibility and accountability through the effective and efficient use of resources in daily procedures, processes and practices

    • Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding attendance and dress code.

    • Demonstrates competency in the assessment, range of treatment, knowledge of growth and development and communication appropriate to the age of the patient treated.

    • Coaches and trains new staff members as needed.

    • Acts as a subject matter expert on designated contract types

    • Playing an integral role in the performance and management of all contract activity, conducting quality reviews as needed to safeguard organizational assets and mitigate future risks.

    • Implements strategic activities aligned with departmental and organizational goals, furnishing management with valuable insights gleaned from contract-related data analysis and ad-hoc projects.

    • Pursues opportunities for interpersonal growth and articulates St. Luke's vision, mission, goals, and values in all forms of communication and conduct.

    PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

    Sitting for up to 7 hours per day, 4 hours at a time; standing for up to 7 hours per day, 4 hours at a time; walking for up to 2 hours a day, 1 hour at a time. Seeing as it relates to general, near, color, and peripheral vision. Hearing as it relates to normal and telephone conversations.

    EDUCATION:

    Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of "hands on" contract experience required, preferably in information technology and/or healthcare administration. Master's or JD preferred. Paralegal certification is desired.

    TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

    At least 5 years of "hands on" contract drafting, negotiations and administration experience required, preferably in information technology and/or healthcare administration.

    WORK SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday with varying hours based on the needs of the department.
