Nic + Junior s is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team!

Nic & Junior s is one of Eater s Most Anticipated Restaurant Openings for 2025. The restaurant brings together two chefs (James Beard Award nominee Junior Borges and restaurateur Nicholas Yanes) from different backgrounds with one vision to create meaningful connections through focused hospitality and thoughtful service.

Rooted in Brazilian and Italian traditions, the menu blends global influences with playful creativity, served with care and attention to detail. At Nic & Junior s, we craft experiences that balance skill and fun, where every guest feels valued, welcomed, and part of something special. The Sous Chef's responsibilities include:

  • Reporting directly to the Executive ChefFostering a culture that proactively engages staff and creates a professional and dynamic learning environment
  • Working with the team to lead and develop new dishes
  • Upholding our expectation of cleanliness and productivity

We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

  • Strong work ethic and leadership skills
  • Self-motivating and able to motivate others
  • Strong communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Well organized
  • Has a strong understanding of New American cuisine and classical cooking techniques
  • Is excited to advance their career
  • 1-2 years experience in a fine dining kitchen preferred
Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($23.00 - $25.00)
