A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join its Business Litigation team in Dallas. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with attorneys on complex, high-level litigation matters in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Position Overview
This role provides comprehensive legal and administrative support, including document preparation, e-filing, calendaring, billing coordination, and client interaction. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven setting.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, edit, and proofread legal documents, including briefs, TOC/TOA, and correspondence
- Manage state and federal court filings and docket deadlines
- Maintain calendars and coordinate meetings, travel, and client communications
- Handle time entry, billing coordination, and expense processing
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files
- Support new matter intake, conflicts checks, and engagement letters
- Assist attorneys with research, client requests, and administrative needs
Qualifications- 3+ years of litigation legal assistant experience in a law firm
- Strong knowledge of state and federal court procedures and e-filing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), including TOC/TOA
- Experience with document management systems
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
