The Senior Legal Secretary - Paralegal Hybrid role will provide administrative support services for a group of Litigation attorneys practicing in bankruptcy and oil & gas. This position may also be asked to handle additional office administration duties as needed. Please note, while the role itself a hybrid secretary and paralegal position, the candidate will be required to be in office 5 days a week.Key ResponsibilitiesSchedule and coordinate depositions, court reporters, videographers, hearings and attorney meetings.Input information into time and billing software, customer relationship management, and document management systems.Draft, type, format and revise many different types of legal, agency, and business documents including correspondence, pleadings and discovery materials.Calendar and monitor deadlines from incoming mail, pleadings, and hearings.E-file documents in state and federal courts and coordinate service on opposing parties.Maintain and organize electronic and physical case files, binders, etc.Assist with substantive case management including monitoring litigation deadlines, coordinating discovery responses and maintaining case status reports.Assist with trial preparation such as preparing exhibits, deposition summaries, and trial binders.Proactively manage and maintain attorney calendars, schedule appointments, receive and make phone calls, open and sort mail, coordinate travel arrangements, and perform other administrative duties.Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy rules by safeguarding sensitive legal and client information.Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, vendors and colleagues.Additional duties may be assigned as needed.RequirementsBachelor's degree or 5+ years litigation experience or training from a business/vocational school or other legal education. A combination of education and experience may be considered.Proficient with local, state, and federal filing rules, elementary legal procedures, and legal and business terminology.Familiarity with appellate briefing, TOA, TOC, Styles.Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Familiar with any enterprise time and billing system, preferably Emburse and iTimeKeep.Familiar with any customer relationship management system.Familiar with any document management system, preferably iManage.Proficient with transcription equipment and able to transcribe.Detail oriented and able to prioritize, multi-task, and work well under pressure.Professional, polite, and positive client‑centric attitude.McGinnis Lochridge is an equal employment opportunity employer.#J-18808-Ljbffr
