Legal Secretary / Legal Assistant (Plaintiff Personal Injury)
Location: Houston, TX
Compensation: Up to $85K + Excellent Benefits & Bonuses
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Legal Secretary/Assistant to support a team of trial attorneys handling high-profile, complex litigation matters nationwide. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment supporting impactful cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage complex calendars, coordinating meetings, travel, and events in a fast-moving environment
- Handle e-filing in state and federal courts and maintain accurate docketing of deadlines
- Prepare, revise, proofread, and format legal documents, including correspondence and litigation materials
- Schedule depositions, hearings, and meetings; prepare hearing and trial notebooks
- Assist with trial preparation and provide support during all phases of litigation
- Process expense reports and coordinate travel arrangements
- Screen and manage incoming calls and communications
- Collaborate with legal team members to ensure deadlines and client needs are met
- Maintain professionalism and adhere to confidentiality, security, and firm policies
- Willingness to work extended hours, evenings, weekends, and travel as required.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of plaintiff personal injury experience required
- Strong knowledge of state and federal court procedures, deadlines, and filing requirements
- Proven experience with e-filing, calendaring, docket management, and trial preparation
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and strong communication skills
