    Description

    The Role

    The client is seeking a remote Audit Manager to perform financial statement audits and attest engagements of Non-Profit clients for top CPA firms across the United States.

    Core Responsibilities

    • The management, leadership, and supervision of staff (entry-level, senior, and supervisor-level individuals) on various NPO audits.
    • Managing the significant responsibility of reviewing NFP audits while following a structured timeline of due dates and deadlines.
    • Review of draft financial statements and related audit documents.
    • Report audit findings to stakeholders.

    Education and Qualifications

    • A Bachelor's degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting.
    • A Master's degree is highly preferred
    • CPA required.

    Essential Functions

    • Train and develop other staff members.
    • Building and managing client relationships.
    • Ensuring the quality and managing the workflow of various work products.

    Experience

    • A minimum of eight (8) years of audit experience with a public accounting firm performing services for US domestic clients.
    • Prior experience with trust, non-profit, estate, & gift taxation is highly preferred.
    • Minimum of three (3) years of experience supervising and training staff.
    • Proficient in individual and entity taxation (partnerships, LLCs, & corporations).
    • Special attention will be given to candidates who have strong experience in estate and trust taxation.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
    • Effective organizational skills.
    • Strong interpersonal, supervisory, and customer service skills are required.
    • Knowledge of accounting controls and professional standards and regulations (GAAP, GAAS, etc.).
    • Ability to successfully manage multiple engagements and time constraints.
