We are currently seeking an Office Assistant in the Orlando, FL . This is a hybrid opportunity, requiring 2–3 days onsite with the remaining days remote. This role is part of a 4–6 month project supporting a major transition to a new processing platform, with potential for permanent conversion based on performance and business needs.
JOB SUMMARY
The Office Assistant will provide entry-level administrative support during a high-impact transition period. This role will assist with daily office and administrative functions, support staff augmentation efforts, and help ensure continuity of operations throughout the platform transition. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, manual processing environment.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Send, track, and maintain pay sheets accurately and in a timely manner
- Assist with basic variable pay processing activities, including data validation and pay-related reconciliations
- Review compensation data for completeness and identify potential discrepancies for further review
- Support the preparation and distribution of commission and incentive payment reports
- Perform data entry and updates in compensation-based workbooks
- Help gather and organize supporting documentation for pay inquiries and audits
- Assist with researching and responding to basic participant questions related to incentive payments
- Support testing and validation activities for compensation system updates and process improvements
- Assist with email communications and follow-ups with internal teams
- Handle incoming and outgoing scanning, and document management
- Provide general administrative support including filing, scheduling, and coordinating meetings
- Support work efforts related to the transition to a new processing platform
- Assist the team with ad hoc administrative and operational tasks as needed
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES- 0–2 years of administrative, operations, payroll, finance, or office support experience preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications
- Comfortable working with large amounts of data and repetitive processes
- Basic understanding of compensation, payroll, accounting, or commission processes is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Ability to follow documented procedures and maintain confidentiality
- Effective organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable, adaptable, and eager to learn new systems and processes
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
PREFERRED SKILLS- Prior administrative, office support, payroll, finance, or compensation experience
- Experience working with Excel formulas, filtering, sorting, and data validation
- Exposure to commission, incentive compensation, payroll, or reporting processes
- Experience working with compensation, HR, payroll, or CRM systems is a plus
