Ste. Genevieve du Bois Parish is seeking a welcoming, organized, and detail-oriented Part-Time Parish Secretary to support the daily operations of the parish office. This position serves as the first point of contact for parishioners, visitors, and community members while providing administrative, clerical, and communication support to the Pastor, parish staff, ministries, and parish organizations. The Parish Secretary helps ensure the efficient operation of the parish office and contributes to a hospitable and faith-centered environment. This position is scheduled for three days per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday).
High school diploma or equivalent required. Three to five years of administrative, receptionist, or office experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Publisher. Experience with Google Workspace (Docs, Drive, Sheets, Forms) preferred. Experience with Canva, parish communication platforms, or similar software preferred. Experience with bookkeeping, database, or business software preferred. Ability to learn new technology and software applications. General knowledge of and support for the mission, teachings, and practices of the Catholic Church. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Strong computer and office technology skills. Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and support parish projects and events. Ability to work collaboratively with clergy, staff, volunteers, parishioners, vendors, and community partners.
