PROGRAM PROJECT COORDINATOR TO THE MIT COMMITTEE ON ANIMAL CARE
Division of Comparative Medicine will process all aspects of the protocol review for new protocols, renewals, procedural addenda, and new personnel addenda to extant protocols. This includes:
- Evaluating protocol submissions
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and institutional requirements
- Pre-reviewing submissions prior to triaging for veterinary review
- Determining level of review required (i.e., full committee or designated member)
- Keeping investigators informed of the status of their submissions
- Relaying post-review comments to investigators
- Ensuring investigators responses to committee comments are complete prior to sending for re-review
- Monitoring protocol expiration dates and reviewing response dates to ensure no interruption in approval
- Assisting with the preparation of meeting agendas
- Attending monthly meetings of the CAC and any ad hoc meetings
- Recording minutes of these meetings
