Description
PROJECT COORDINATOR
Summary:
Plans, directs, and/or coordinates work activities and the resources necessary per the directions given by the Project Manager / Superintendent in charge.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with production and estimating to initiate job setup, schedules, and manpower needs.
Assist the superintendent with determining goals and objectives and ensure that all production members and subcontractors are aware of milestones and target dates.
Ensure safety policies are being enforced.
Monitor progress to ensure production deadlines are met.
Attend all meetings and assist with resolving production problems such as, quality assurance, subcontractors, and the customer's representatives.
Communicate with direct customers in a professional manner and ensure customer satisfaction.
Work day begins at 0530.
Ability to communicate using Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PP, Project) and email.
Work with trade supervisors to coordinate efficient installs safely, on time and under budget.
Ability to develop, track and communicate a working schedule.
Ability to forecast, track, adjust labor/ material budget for overall contract success.
Confers with department supervisors to determine progress of work and to provide information on changes.
Compiles reports concerning progress of work.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn and improve skills.
Experience Requirements:
2+ years Superintendent experience in the Ship Repair or Marine Industry.
Oral and written communications, interpersonal relations, and managerial techniques.
Must have working knowledge of bulkhead and habitability space construction
Must have experience working on CVN type ships
Other Requirements:
Must be able to obtain a Government facility security pass.
Must be able to pass Drug Screening, Work Ability Screening
