Base pay range $70,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yrAdditional compensation types Annual Bonus4 Days OnsiteOverview An expanding commercial real estate firm is seeking a skilled Property Accountant to support its growing portfolio. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting and strong operational performance.Core ResponsibilitiesPerform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including balance sheet and cash account reconciliations.Oversee accounts payable and receivable activities for assigned properties.Prepare and analyze financial variance reports.Reconcile bank accounts on a monthly basis.Manage debt schedules, loan payments, and related documentation.Create, review, and maintain properly supported journal entries.Contribute to the preparation of budgets and forecasts, partnering with finance leadership and asset management.Calculate management, acquisition, and other property-related fees as needed.Identify opportunities to improve and streamline accounting processes.Record cash receipts, receivables, and other general ledger transactions accurately and promptly.Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual property-level financial statements.Support ad hoc analyses and special projects as requested by management or clients.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent professional experience.Minimum of 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.Experience using Yardi or comparable real estate accounting software preferred.Prior experience in commercial real estate accounting is required.Seniority levelAssociateEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionAccounting/Auditing and Finance#J-18808-Ljbffr
