Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client for an entry-level Employee Support Specialist to join their remote People Operations team. In this role, you will serve as a first point of contact for employees with questions about HR policies, benefits, payroll, and general workplace concerns, helping ensure every team member feels heard and supported.
Day to day, you will field inbound tickets, calls, and chats, troubleshoot routine HR and systems issues, and know when to escalate more complex cases to specialists. People who thrive in this role are patient, detail-oriented communicators who enjoy solving problems and take pride in making someone's workday a little easier.
Responsibilities
Respond to employee inquiries via email, chat, and phone in a timely and professional manner
Triage and resolve routine HR, benefits, and payroll questions using established guidelines
Maintain accurate records of employee interactions in the HR case management system
Assist with onboarding tasks including new hire paperwork and account setup
Escalate complex employee relations or compliance issues to senior HR staff
Update and maintain employee records in the HRIS platform
Help employees navigate self-service portals for benefits, time off, and pay stubs
Contribute to a shared knowledge base of frequently asked questions and solutions
Support special projects such as open enrollment and policy rollouts
Follow up with employees to confirm issues are fully resolved
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required, associate or bachelor's degree preferred
Up to one year of experience in a customer service, HR, or administrative support role
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfort learning and navigating HRIS or ticketing software
Ability to handle sensitive employee information with discretion
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Reliable home internet connection and a quiet remote work environment
Ability to manage multiple inquiries and prioritize effectively
