About the Role

FIS is seeking an experienced Revenue Accounting Manager to join our Capital Markets Accounting team. This highly visible role will own revenue accounting activities for designated business lines within our Capital Markets segment and serve as a key resource for revenue recognition matters under ASC 606.

The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in revenue accounting, technical accounting research, and the ability to navigate complex contractual arrangements in a fast-paced, publicly traded environment. This is an individual contributor role offering significant exposure to senior finance leadership and cross-functional business partners.

What You Will Do

• Lead the monthly revenue accounting close process for assigned Capital Markets businesses.
• Review and analyze monthly income statement and balance sheet results, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Evaluate and account for complex customer contracts and revenue arrangements in compliance with ASC 606.
• Partner with Technical Accounting, Sales, Legal, Billing, Collections, and FP&A teams to assess the accounting implications of new customer transactions and contract modifications.
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with FIS accounting policies, internal controls, and SOX requirements.
• Support quarterly and annual audits by providing revenue accounting analyses and documentation.
• Research and document technical accounting conclusions related to revenue recognition matters.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve controls, and enhance reporting efficiency.
• Support strategic initiatives, including acquisition integrations, system implementations, and process transformation projects.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant exposure to revenue accounting.
• Strong expertise with ASC 606 revenue recognition
• Experience analyzing complex customer contracts and determining appropriate revenue treatment.
• Deep understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with enterprise accounting systems such as Oracle.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain accounting concepts to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or equivalent certification preferred
• Big Four public accounting experience, or a combination of public accounting and corporate accounting experience.
• Experience within technology, software, SaaS, fintech, or financial services organizations.
• Experience supporting public company reporting requirements and external audits.
• Familiarity with FCCS, Essbase, and large-scale ERP environments.
