Senior Accountant

Client Overview:
Our client is an emerging enterprise seeking an impressive Accountant to join their Accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional to join an organization with a strong company culture. The ideal Accountant will be technically strong, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$60k - $75k

Position Overview:
The Accountant will join the Accounting Department and report directly to the CFO. This is a fast-paced, high-volume environment providing extensive exposure to the entertainment industry. The Accountant will support general ledger accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, and preparation of monthly financial packets and supporting schedules.

Responsibilities of the Accountant:

• Perform general ledger accounting activities.
• Support month-end closing procedures.
• Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and income/expense statements.
• Audit and review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Prepare standard monthly financial packets and supporting schedules for designated associations.
• Support multi-company financial statement preparation and governmental accounting and compliance activities.

Required Experience/Skills for the Accountant:

• 2-4+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong general ledger and month-end close experience.
• Experience preparing financial statements.
• QuickBooks Online experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Accountant:

• Experience with multi-company financial statements.
• Knowledge of governmental accounting and compliance.
• Entertainment industry experience preferred but not required.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
