We're seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing finance team supporting a leading organization in the construction and infrastructure industry. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong project accounting experience who enjoys partnering with operations to drive financial performance and support strategic decision-making.

Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
Prepare accurate financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules.
Perform job cost accounting, project profitability analysis, and variance reporting.
Support revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP and ASC 606.
Partner with project managers on budgeting, forecasting, and change order accounting.
Monitor work-in-progress (WIP), project billings, and collections.
Maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
Assist with annual audits, tax support, and financial reporting initiatives.
Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Construction or project-based accounting experience required.
Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP reporting, and revenue recognition.
Experience with ERP/accounting systems (Vista, HCSS, or similar preferred).
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Valid driver's license.
CPA or CMA designation.
Experience with ESOP or employee-owned organizations.
Knowledge of prevailing wage, heavy civil, or transportation construction accounting.
Experience with ERP implementations or accounting process improvements.
