This position will oversee a broad range of responsibilities, including accounting for inventory, fixed assets, leases, payroll, and benefits, as well as managing general ledger transactions, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant ready to take the next step in their career and make a meaningful impact within a rapidly growing organization.The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Accounts Payable and the month-end close process. We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running, work independently, and ask thoughtful questions when needed. Given that we are 45% owned by a publicly traded company, the ability to meet a five-day month-end close deadline is essential. Strong problem-solving skills and advanced proficiency in Excel are highly valued in this role.What You'll DoYou'll take a hands-on role in key accounting functions, including:Serving as a backup and supervisor for Accounts Payable, Purchasing, and Expense Reports/Purchasing Card administrationRecording payroll and benefits transactionsPreparing journal entries and supporting documentationManaging inventory valuation monthly and reconciling quarterly physical counts to the inventory subledgerAccounting for fixed assets, including depreciation, amortization, and property/real estate taxesAccounting for leases in compliance with ASC 842Performing monthly bank reconciliationsSupporting the monthly close process and maintaining/reconciling general ledger accountsAssisting with year-end audit and tax schedule preparationAnalyzing discrepancies and reporting issues to managementMaintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial dataSupporting the Controller with ad-hoc tasks and special projectsYour Experience and CapabilitiesBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred3–5 years of relevant accounting experienceExperience with Microsoft Business Central a plusFamiliarity with ASC 842 Lease accounting a plusProficiency with Excel, including advanced formulas (e.g., XLOOKUP), PivotTables, and Power BIStrong problem-solving skills and a tech-savvy mindset to automate and improve processesAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environmentSelf-starter with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvementsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a service-oriented mindsetStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectivelyIf you're a detail-oriented professional passionate about accounting operations and ready to contribute to a high-impact team, we'd love to hear from you.
