In 2021, Diversified announced our expansion into our Central Regional Focus Area, which includes producing areas within Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIESThe Senior Accounting Associate will support the internal consolidation and financial reporting process, including preparation of consolidated financial statements and the statement of cash flows. This role will have ownership of select profit and loss accounts, prepare journal entries and account reconciliations, ensure SOX compliance, and contribute to automation and process improvement initiatives. The role requires strong technical accounting skills, a finance‑minded and strategic approach, and the ability to leverage technology to drive efficiency and insight.Special focus to be placed on:Assist in the consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including assisting with the preparation of the cash flow statementsPrepare consolidation schedules, intercompany eliminations, and supporting analysesPrepare and post journal entries and accruals in accordance with GAAPPrepare and maintain account reconciliations for balance sheet and P&L accountsOwn key income statement accounts, including but not limited to:Operating expensesGathering and transportation expensePerform monthly financial analysis and variance explanationsEnsure adherence to SOX controls, internal accounting policies, and documentation standardsSupport internal and external audit requestsAssist with automation, reporting enhancements, and process improvement initiativesPrepare ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support management decision‑makingPOSITION REQUIREMENTSCPA and Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance3+ years of accounting, financial reporting, or public accounting experienceStrong understanding of GAAP, financial statements, and consolidationsExperience with journal entries, account reconciliations, and month‑end closeFinance‑ and strategy‑oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem‑solving skillsAdvanced Excel skillsExperience with Power BI or similar analytics/visualization toolsComfort leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies in accounting and financeERP and consolidation system experience preferredStrong communication skills and ability to work independently in a deadline‑driven environmentCommitment to continuous improvement and desire to be challenged professionallyOffice Physical Requirements and Working ConditionsProlonged periods working at a desk in front of a computer.Additional RequirementsMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.#J-18808-Ljbffr
