    Description

    Amazon Advertising seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to collaborate with the business team in charge of building high growth products within Amazon Business Ads and Books Ads. This is a true "day one" opportunity to surprise and delight customers and advertisers alike.

    We are looking for a motivated candidate who has operated successfully in a fast-paced, global, results-oriented environment and has the ability to influence the decisions of senior business leaders through effective verbal and written communication, logical reasoning, and the presentation of analyses. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with business teams to help execute and shape product strategy.

    This is an exciting opportunity to have ownership of a number of finance functions including contributing to short- and long-term business goals, financial forecasts and analyses, creating processes that are simple in nature and can easily scale and measuring business performance. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to develop deep industry understanding, create key performance indicators, analyze monetization strategies to maximize revenue, and provide valuation guidance for feature roadmap prioritization and decision-making. This position will collaborate with business leaders on a daily basis and will be contributing to overall financial planning, business reviews, and providing business insights into key initiatives.

    The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity; dives deep into data to find the root cause of problems, creates action plans to take advantage of business opportunities, is detail oriented and has the ability to work well with cross-functional teams including product development, sales, other finance teams, and senior leaders.

    Key job responsibilities

    Contribute to short-term and long-term financial planning

    Partner with product team to anticipate business requirements, trends, and variances; develop action plans; measure and analyze initiatives and results

    Generate monthly financial reporting on the overall health and performance of the business

    Work with BIE and Data teams to build for scale, streamlining and automating processes and reports

    Participate in creation of Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly business reviews and long-term strategy documents

    Amazon"s Physical Stores Advertising team and Books Advertising finance team partners with product managers, software engineers, economists, data scientists, and financial analysts across the advertising and retail organizations. We work on hard problems and have fun doing it!
