As a Sr Project Manager within Global Channel Development Business Operations Solutions, you will lead highly complex, cross-functional initiatives that strengthen how GCD operates across partnerships, markets and functions. You will translate business needs into scalable processes, tools and ways of working, leading initiatives from discovery and design through implementation and adoption.
The role supports a Business Operations Solutions team focused on scalable operating capabilities across innovation and marketing operations, partnership management, strategic initiatives and operational planning.
As a sr project manager, you will…
Lead Complex Initiatives: Own highly complex, cross-functional projects from discovery through implementation and adoption, ensuring clear scope, governance, milestones and outcomes.
Design Scalable Solutions: Translate business needs into scalable processes, tools and ways of working that improve speed, consistency and operational effectiveness across GCD.
Drive Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner across functions including Marketing, Legal, Supply Chain, Finance, Technology and global markets to navigate ambiguity, align stakeholders and move decisions forward.
Manage Risk & Delivery: Proactively manage dependencies, risks and trade-offs, adapting plans as priorities shift while maintaining momentum and accountability.
Drive Continuous Improvement: Use data, feedback and operational insights to simplify processes, improve adoption and identify opportunities to scale successful solutions.
We'd love to hear from people with:
7+ years of project management experience, including scope, time, cost, risk, quality, integration, resources and communications
5+ years managing complex large-scale or multiple mid-sized projects.
Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in a large, matrixed organization.
Strong project-management skills across planning, governance, risk and dependency management, stakeholder alignment and change implementation.
Ability to translate ambiguous business needs into clear requirements, recommendations and executable plans.
Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills, with the ability to connect work to broader organizational priorities.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to create clarity, navigate different perspectives and move stakeholders toward decisions.
Experience developing scalable processes, tools or ways of working and driving adoption through change.
Four-year degree preferred; PMP considered.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.

Every day, we go to work hoping to do two things: share great coffee with our friends and help make the world a little better. It was true when the first Starbucks opened in 1971, and it’s just as true today.
Back then, the company was a single store in Seattle’s historic Pike Place Market. From just a narrow storefront, Starbucks offered some of the world’s finest fresh-roasted whole bean coffees. The name, inspired by Moby Dick, evoked the romance of the high seas and the seafaring tradition of the early coffee traders.
In 1981, Howard Schultz (Starbucks chairman and chief executive officer) had first walked into a Starbucks store. From his first cup of Sumatra, Howard was drawn into Starbucks and joined a year later.
In 1983, Howard traveled to Italy and became captivated with Italian coffee bars and the romance of the coffee experience. He had a vision to bring the Italian coffeehouse tradition back to the United States. A place for conversation and a sense of community. A third place between work and home. He left Starbucks for a short period of time to start his own Il Giornale coffeehouses and returned in August 1987 to purchase Starbucks with the help of local investors.
