Job Description
Our company is a leading real estate management firm that specializes in managing a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial properties. Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for accounting for a portfolio of properties, which includes the general ledger month-end close and supporting work papers. This includes both residential and commercial properties.
- Review the balance sheet and income statement to ensure accurate and timely recording of all transactions. Analyze and understand fluctuations in account balances and identify underlying drivers.
- Maintain and update individual property workbooks that are reviewed by management.
- Review and approve payables, ensuring proper GL coding and descriptions.
- Prepare budget to actual variance reports, providing valuable insights and analysis.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree (B.A.) in accounting or finance from a four-year college or university
- 1 to 3 years of prior property accounting experience
We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Compensation range: $70k-100k, depending on experience
