School of Nursing & Health Innovations (SONHI) student office assistants provide reception in the main nursing office, Buckley Center 301. They support SONHI staff, faculty and administration and report to the Academic Coordinator. They will perform general office management duties in addition to creating and managing electronic forms, build data reports, and assist with webpage maintenance. This position is a good initiation into office management.
Core Duties
- Customer Service: answering phone calls and assisting with walk ins.
- Process various faculty and staff work orders: photocopying, projects using Microsoft office and UP programs, maintenance of SONHI databases, including website maintenance.
- Website maintenance including updating SONHI pages with information and deadlines, posting announcements on social media and newsletters to SONHI students.
- Electronic form creation in Qualtrics (will be trained).
- Sort and distribute School of Nursing (SONHI) mail including packages that may contain supplies for faculty, staff and copier room.
- Take inventory of supplies needed in the copier room and faculty/staff break room.
- Run errands on campus as needed.
- Assist with SONHI operations and events.
- Other relevant duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in an office.
- Previous experience with multi-tasking, staying organized while working on different projects simultaneously.
- SONHI majors (Nursing, IHW & PHW) are not considered due to confidentiality reasons.
Physical Requirements
- May lift up to 25 lbs, bending, standing, sitting, walking, typing and using standard office equipment.
