As Sous Chef, you will play an essential role in upholding our standards of excellence and helping lead the kitchen to new culinary heights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Executive Chef in menu development, sourcing, and ingredient costing
  • Lead daily kitchen operations, ensuring each service runs smoothly and meets Michelin-star standards
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality
  • Train, mentor, and guide kitchen staff, promoting a culture of teamwork and excellence
  • Manage inventory, conduct regular ordering, and maintain vendor relationships
  • Uphold meticulous standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety within the kitchen
  • Assist in menu planning, tasting, and creating innovative dishes that reflect our culinary vision

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a fine dining kitchen, ideally in a Sous Chef or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of American and European cuisine, especially French and Spanish
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • High attention to detail, with a commitment to quality and cleanliness
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Current ServSafe certification, DC DOH certificate, or the ability to obtain one within 30 days
