Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Human Resources Generalist to lead HR and workplace support operations for a business unit within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for managing a broad range of HR functions, including employee relations, workplace investigations, manager coaching, high-volume recruitment, performance management, compliance, training, HR operations, and employee services.

As a trusted HR partner, the Senior HR Generalist works closely with business leaders, managers, and Corporate HR to support business objectives, provide guidance on complex employee matters, support workforce growth, and ensure consistent application of company policies and employment laws. This role also oversees workplace and administrative support activities that contribute to effective site operations and a positive employee experience.

This position requires a strategic and hands-on HR professional with strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills who can independently manage HR operations, lead team members, and support a dynamic business environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee HR activities for the business unit, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation, training, compliance, and HR operations.
  • Partner with business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives while ensuring alignment with Corporate HR policies, programs, and processes.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers on employee relations, performance management, disciplinary actions, workplace investigations, workers’ compensation, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
  • Support compensation planning, salary recommendations, and organizational development initiatives.
  • Oversee HR systems, records, reports, and workforce metrics to support business decisions.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to HR and administrative team members to ensure effective execution of HR and site support activities.
  • Oversee general services support activities, including vendor coordination, invoice processing, employee events, badge management, locker administration, and other site administrative services.
  • Collaborate with Corporate HR and cross-functional teams on HR initiatives, process improvements, and special projects.
  • Perform other HR-related duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 6–8 years of progressive HR experience with strong expertise in employee relations, workplace investigations, manager coaching, performance management, and recruitment.
  • Proven experience managing high-volume recruitment activities and supporting rapid workforce growth.
  • Previous HR leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
  • Experience managing HR in a multi-site or global organization is a plus.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and HR data reporting.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong employee relations and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle sensitive and complex workplace matters.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic HR responsibilities with hands-on operational support in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bilingual in English and Chinese/Mandarin preferred.

Preferred Certifications

  • SHRM-SCP, SPHR, CIPD, or equivalent HR certification preferred.
