Job Duties for the Staff Accountant:

• 
  
• Record and post journal entries to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements
• 
  
• Perform high-volume reconciliations for credit cards, general ledger accounts, and bank statements
• 
  
• Process and apply daily cash receipts, including ACH payments and checks
• 
  
• Prepare and complete daily cash deposits
• 
  
• Support month-end close through reporting, reconciliations, and schedule preparation
• 
  
• Assist with AP as needed
• 
  
• Contribute to the preparation of both internal and external financial reporting packages
• 
  
• Review activity to ensure accurate posting to the general ledger
• 
  
• Maintain a strong understanding of the billing process for the purpose of accurate cash application
• 
  

Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:

• 
  
• 2+ years of accounting experience required
  
  • 
    
  • Experience with cash receipts, reconciliations, and general ledger processes
  • 
    
  • Knowledge of cash based accounting process a plus
  • 
    
  
  
•

• 
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, but not required depending on years of experience
• 
  
• Proficiency with MS Excel
• 
  
• Experience with accounting software and solid understanding of GAAP
• 
  
• Great time management, organized, detail oriented, and analytical mindset
• 
  

Schedule: Fully on site in Baltimore, MD (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, 35 hour work week)
Salary: $65,000-$70,000
