The Richmond Behavioral Health Authority has twofull-time position available for a Staff Accountant II to performs intermediate skilled technical work preparing and processing journal entries, analyzing and processing bank deposits, managing fixed assets and processing depreciation, reconciling bank revenue, analyzing financial statements in accordance to GAAP and compliance to company policy, analyzing and preparing account general ledger reconciliations, processing travel requests and credit card invoices, preparing 1099 miscellaneous statements to vendors in accordance to Internal Revenue Service, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under supervision of the Senior Accountant.Job DutiesAnalyzes financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance with internal policies.Prepares month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing journal entriesPrepares work papers, financial statements and various reports for auditors and internal staffPrepares month-end preliminary and final reports for agency/staffReceives edits for month-end reports and prepares journal entries as neededDevelops a thorough understanding of the operations of the reporting units assigned.
