Job DescriptionThe Staff Accountant will work with a multi-disciplinary team of other accountants, analysts, clinical, and technology staff in performing analyses of non-financial and financial information, verifying integrity of data, performing detailed analysis to determine compliance with Federal regulations, state Medicaid policies, and other applicable laws. The individual will prepare written documents supporting professional decisions and will perform other types of related tasks involving health care program integrity initiatives.Essential Functions And Primary DutiesConduct research in order to determine compliance with relevant Medicaid or other government program regulationsAssist with performing various analyses relating to federal and state compliance engagementsReview applicable Federal and State policies and regulations relating to healthcare, eligibility, reimbursement, and quality incentive programsDemonstrate excellence in communication skills, data gathering, analysis, reporting, and process improvementMaintain security and confidentiality of all protected health information when analyzing materialMaintain thorough electronic documentationAdditional responsibilities as assignedPreferred QualificationsCPA, CPA candidate, or CFEExperience with health care auditing and data analysisAbility to review statutory/regulatory or other policy language and apply requirementsStrong analytical and problem solving skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsWell organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detailEffectively multi-task with planning and efficiencyMust be able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize assignmentsProficient use of applicable software programs and data querying tools, including Microsoft Office suite (i.e. Excel, Word, etc.)Must be able to travel based on client and business needsOur team is looking for someone who is willing to be creative and not afraid to try something new.
