ProspectBlue is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our client's growing team in Richmond, VA. This role will play a key part in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, credit analysis, and operational accounting support. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with data, partnering with leadership, and contributing to process improvement in a fast-paced environment.CPA preferred but not required.Experience in manufacturing or distribution environments strongly preferred.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain financial and operational reporting using Microsoft Business Central (ERP), Jet Reports, and/or SQL ServerPrepare and analyze monthly financial results, including budget vs. actual reporting and variance analysisSupport the annual budgeting and forecasting process in partnership with leadershipReview customer credit applications, perform credit analysis, and provide recommendations to managementMaintain customer master data, including credit limits, payment terms, and remittance detailsCalculate and process monthly sales commissions in coordination with Sales leadershipSupport sales tax compliance , including filings, nexus tracking, and communication with state agenciesAssist with business license filings and renewals across jurisdictionsSupport month-end close activities, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenanceCollaborate cross-functionally to support business operations and resolve accounting-related issuesAssist with special projects and process improvements as neededQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA preferred, not required2+ years of accounting experience (Staff Accountant or similar role)Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or inventory-based industries strongly preferredERP experience required; Microsoft Business Central, Jet Reports, and/or SQL Server a plusStrong Excel skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environmentStrong communication and analytical skillsWhat We're Looking ForA stable, growth-oriented accounting professionalSomeone comfortable working with data and systems to drive insightsA team player who enjoys partnering with leadership and cross-functional teamsA long-term contributor who wants to grow within the organization#J-18808-Ljbffr
